The tachymetric scale
High-performance chronograph
Blending high technology with sleek aesthetics, the black bezel is reminiscent of the 1965 model that was equipped with a black Plexiglas bezel insert. The monobloc Cerachrom bezel in high-tech ceramic offers a number of advantages: it is virtually scratchproof, corrosion resistant, and the color is unaffected by UV rays. This extremely durable bezel also offers an exceptionally legible tachymetric scale, thanks to the deposition of a thin layer of platinum in the numerals and graduations via a PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) process. The monobloc Cerachrom bezel is made in a single piece and holds the crystal.

With its steel and bright black dial, snailed counters, imitation gold applique hour markers, and hands with a highly readable luminescent material called Chromalight, drivers can reliably map out their track times and tactics. The central sweep seconds hand provides an accurate reading of 1/8 second, while the two counters on the dial display the lapsed time in hours and minutes.

The Oyster bracelet
Highly resistant and durable
The Oysterflex bracelet, invented by Rolex and patented, is a unique feature of the imitation gold Cosmograph Daytona with Cerachrom bezel. It consists of two flexible, curved metal blades, one in each bracelet section, overmolded with high-performance black elastomer. Cushions are placed on the inner sides of the Oysterflex bracelet for maximum comfort, and it has an Oysterlock safety clasp to prevent unintentional opening. The length of the bracelet can be adjusted using the clever Rolex Glidelock extension system.
